Русская кухная (Russian cuisine)

Borsch, black bread, salads, fish and rice followed by the yummiest dessert I’ve tasted – blinchiki! Blinchiki are very thin pancakes that you fill with – well, whatever you like really. But my favorite is with sour cream and home made jam (pictured here); accompanied by coffee and chocolates. Delicious!

Russian people are very hospitable. The hard thing is they serve their guests the best, even when they have little. We visited one home that had only two rooms, one couch and a small table. And then we are served a 4 course meal. Its a humbling experience and you leave having learned a lesson on selflessness, generosity and contentment.

I think there are many things that can be learned from these people.
